Littlest Stonecutter and cowboy

Finn is sporting his favorite bib from fellow Stonecutters (our Ultimate Frisbee team). Thank you Jake and Caroline!! He can't wait to hang out on the sidelines this summer and watch Mommy and Daddy throw the disc around.
Then I thought he just looked so cute in his stylin' cowboy shirt and cords. What a big boy he's becoming - almost 19 lbs now! We were also excited to capture a few smiles. He smiles all the time but when he sees the camera, he gets serious or looks surprised so the pictures don't always show his happy personality.

Eating solids, getting a tooth, sleeping through the night, oh my!

Finn has been a very busy boy the last few months, growing up and trying lots of new things. We have just started rice cereal this past week and besides the fact that he loves to chew on the spoon and "help" mommy feed him, I think he is actually eating some of it and smiles when I give it to him.

I think Finn has been "teething" for months now due to his excessive drool and wanting to chew on everything, but yesterday I felt his first tooth starting to come through on the bottom.

And the most exciting milestone of late is that he's finally sleeping through the night! Well at least he has for the past 3 nights so hopefully I won't jinx it. Unfortunately, we did have to let him cry it out, but we really only had one tough night and then by the second night he went to bed without crying and slept until 6:30 AM. And this is the child that always needed to be rocked to sleep and woke up at least 2 times every night since he's been home. I've also gotten him on a napping schedule so he takes 3 naps a day anywhere from 1-2 hours each. Again this is the kid that only slept for 30 minutes max for naps since he came home. It's amazing what you can get done when your child actually naps - more than just getting your teeth brushed. :)

I also have a big change coming up. Tomorrow I go back to work after being out for 8 months. I'm sure it will be a huge transition but hopefully it will be a nice balance. I'm only working 3 days a week and my mom is going to watch Finn so it should all work out.

Bath time is fun time

At least now bath is fun time. It wasn't for the first few months of Finn's life but now that he's bigger and older, he doesn't mind and actually kind of likes his bath. At this point we were still doing baths in the kitchen sink, but now that Finn is 18 1/2 pounds and likes to splash the water everywhere, we've moved his tub to the big tub. And how cute is he all swaddled in his towel afterward!

Some oldies but goodies

Here are some shots of Finn from Nov that I never posted. Besides just hanging out and being cute, you see him here in his bumbo seat for the first time (now he almost doesn't fit with his chubby thighs!); with his friend, Jonah who is the same age as Finn's adjusted (born in Sept) and just as big as Finn; lying on his changing table staring at his elephants on the wall (one of his favorite past times), thank you Aunt Nancy and cousin Sara for making them, Finn is really obsessed with them; and lastly playing with one of his favorite ladies Nina!
