Our little cutie

So our little preemie has just weighed in at 14 lbs 9 oz! His adjusted age is just shy of 3 months so he's a good size. The doctor is really pleased at his weight gain and health so far.
As for the rest of us, it's been a tough November. Brian got the H1N1 flu that turned into pneumonia so Finn and I left the house for a week so that we wouldn't catch it. I ended up getting a minor cold and fever and Finn had the sniffles, but we faired much better than Brian.

We did all manage to get healthy for Thanksgiving. Finn truly enjoyed his first turkey day taking his longest nap ever - 2 hours! Mom and Dad enjoyed this since we were able to eat our dinner and play the traditional Deveney football game.

UMASS represent

Finn enjoys showing off his UMASS track suit representing his mom's alma mater.

Meg comes for a visit

My good friend, Meghan came for a visit a few weeks ago and bonded with Finn. He gave her the true initiation and proceeded to spit up all over her. Sorry Meg but he did it out of love. :)

Happy Halloween!

Finn truly enjoyed his first Halloween and got into the festive spirit in his pumpkin garb hanging out with his favorite black cat, Banjo. We put him on the front steps for the picture and he proceeded to fall asleep for about an hour so we went with it and hung outside (since it was nearly 70 degrees) with our neighbors giving out candy for the evening. Do I hear new napping place?

Out for a fall stroll

Does it get any cuter than this?

Finn loves visitors

My friends Nicole and Jack and little Kate came to visit from Austin. It was the first time we both met the little ones. Kate was a doll and I had a blast showing them around Newburyport.
Then Finn had a special treat - his nurse Jen from the Nicu came to hang out. She couldn't believe how big he'd gotten. I questioned whether she'd be able to handle a big baby since she's used to the little preemies. :)

Finn and cousin Tyler

Finn loves to play with (or at least watch) his big cousin Tyler. Don't they look cute in their polo shirts? It's hard to believe these beautiful boys were premature and weighed less than 2 lbs.

Auntie Joanne and fall fun

Auntie Jo came for a visit from Florida to enjoy Finn and a little New England fall. The weather cooperated on Saturday so we went on some quintessential fall adventures - apple picking and cider donuts and a walk through Maudsley state park. And as luck would have it, it was the weekend for Haunted Maudsley, hence the huge skull we're standing in front of. Finn was an angel as usual and slept through it all.

Cape Cod in the fall

Finn took his first trip to the Cape over Columbus Day weekend. The weather was beautiful for this time of year. We took lots of walks to and on the beach and of course watched the Patriots game on Sunday. Isn't Finn gifted already learning the touch down sign?

Little Pats fan

You can never start them too early. Finn loves watching games with his daddy all decked out in matching jerseys. Go Pats!

Just being cute

Finn is doing great growing in leaps and bounds. He is now over 10 lbs and having longer periods of awake time. He is also focusing on our faces and some toys and he loves sounds especially a clicking sound we make with our tongues.

Apple Pickin' Time

Finn went on his first apple picking adventure to Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury. The day was a perfect sunny fall day and even though Finn slept through most of it, we're sure he loved it. (Yes that is him under all that blanket and fleece.) Unfortunately, we couldn't end the day in our typical fashion with cider donuts because the line was so long. But my wonderful husband went back the next morning when they opened at 8 AM to get his sleep deprived wife some of these yummy treats.

Uncle Eric visits

Uncle Eric finally got to hold his new nephew and was thrilled to see how much Finn had grown since that first week he saw him in the NICU. By the way, Finn's outfit has no team affiliation but don't worry he will be a Red Sox fan.

Nana comes to help out

My mom came to stay for the second week Finn was home and Brian was back at work. She was a huge help and of course Finn loved spending quality time with his nana.

Finn's favorite evening activities

Finn loves to lounge with daddy at night or sometimes just wants to lay on the couch like a big boy. We thought he looked like a doll in this last photo.

Poppas hold Finn

Poppa Cavoli and Poppa Deveney bond with Finn holding him for the first time now that he's a little bigger and has no more wires everywhere. Based on the men in Finn's life odds are he's not going to mind men with beards and Santa should be no problem.
